Instruction
To start off you will need the objects listed to the right to create the material.

I will be doing this instruction on a small scale. If you wish to make the material bigger, just use larger container.

This material will be a stretchy wole kind of fabric. I you want a different kind of texture, read the text bellow.

If you want a more leather kind of material - don't use the soap

If you want a more plastic see through material - use liquid EPDM glue instead of sprayable

-sprayable EPDM glue

- a container/bucket
(the size you want your fabric to be)

-dish soap

-acrylic paint
(the colour you want your fabric to be)

-stanley knife
You will need
STEP 1/7
STEP 2/7
STEP 3/7
Pour water in the container with the soap and the paint.
Pour in the paint in the container. (which ever color you like).
Put the dish soap in the water. The more you put in, the more bubbles you'll get. More bubbles will make the material more fluffy and wool like.
STEP 4/7
Get the sprayable EPDM glue and spray in on top of the water.

The glue will float and stay on top of the water.
STEP 5/7
Let the glue dry for 5 minutes. Then spray another layer of glue on top. Repeat this process 4 or 5 times with 5 minutes in between each time.

(The more layers you add, the stronger the material gets).
STEP 6/7
When you feel that the glue has dried, take the container to a place that can get wet.

Carefully use the Stanley to knife to cut along the sides of the container to cut out the layer of glue.
STEP 7/7
Take out the layer of glue and lay it down on a surface to let it dry.
You just created a piece of material to be used in a project. You can use it as a piece of fabric in a fashion design project, as a texture for graphic design or as a canvas to create art on.

All the materials you see on the left are made with glue. In the instruction you're about to read I'll show you how to make materials like these in 7 easy steps.
